2000/2001 Topps Heritage Basketball Cards

The 2000/2001 Topps Heritage basketball set was released to the hobby in February of 2001. The set design is based on the original 1971/1972 Topps Basketball set. The 2000 Topps Heritage base set features 233 cards and is broken down into tiers as follows: Veterans (card #'s 1-24 and 61-233) and Rookies (card #'s 25-60) that were inserted at 1:9 and serial numbered to 1972. Each pack contained 8 cards, and carried a suggested retail price of $2.99.

Retrofractors

"Retrofractors" were randomly inserted into packs at the ratio of approximately 1:95 packs for veteran players and 1:613 packs for rookies. The Retrofractor set contains 60 cards that parallels the players regular issue Topps Heritage cards, enhanced with an all chrome card stock. The veteran player cards are each serial numbered to 272 and the rookie player cards are each serial numbered to only 72 of each card printed.

2000/2001 Topps Heritage Autographs

Autographed cards were randomly inserted into packs at a rate of approximately 1 in 90 packs. The 2000/01 Topps Heritage Basketball autograph set contains 11 cards. The cards are each numbered with an "HA" prefix followed by the player's initials. A rare Kareem Abdul-Jabbar "Autoproof" was inserted at a rate of 1:25728 packs.
